How do I arrange my ceiling spots correctly?

Your ceiling spots should be strategically positioned to achieve uniform and comprehensive illumination of the room. Plan the positioning so that important areas such as reading areas or workstations are well lit and unwanted shadows are avoided. In a medium-sized living room of around 20-25 square metres, for example, you could arrange ceiling spots with a distance of 80-100 cm between the individual luminaires if you want uniform light distribution.

How big should ceiling spots be?

When choosing the size of the ceiling spotlights, consider the size of the room and the ceiling height. In larger rooms or with high ceilings with a ceiling height of over three metres, larger and more powerful spotlights with a diameter of 10-12 cm can be used. In smaller rooms with a ceiling height of up to 2.5 metres, smaller spots (diameter approx. 6-8 cm) are often sufficient to provide discreet lighting.

How many spots do I need per square metre?
